Kids love it. Bought a seasons pass. Great deal.
We just had our wedding reception here and couldn't have been happier. The food was AMAZING. Wild mushroom risotto and bacon mac n' cheese - must haves! Our guests loved the venue - it was beautifully decorated, care and attention was paid to every detail, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We felt very well taken care of along every step of the process. Greg, the event coordinator, was wonderful. Thank you to all who made our big day a very special, perfect day.
I have been to The Wildlife Experience many times, but I was so disappointed when I visited the museum yesterday. There were hardly any visitors there and I first thought the museum was closed. Some of the animation was not working, especially in the Colorado portion of the exhibit and the Discovery Den for children. The front desk person told me there were no longer having traveling exhibits, which were so much fun in the past. Also, the Toucan Cafe no longer serves food off the grill. We had planned to have lunch there, but all that was offered was refrigerated sandwiches, salads, etc. - much like what you would see at a convenience store. Even the items in the gift shop were marginal and mostly CU themed. The only part we enjoyed was a live animal demonstration, present by Erin. Sadly, that will be my last visit to The Wildlife Experience.
We took our grand babies 2 and 3 and a half years old. They enjoyed very much wildlife exhibits and play areas. As they get a little older they will enjoy the movies too. It was fun and educational day. Also very inexpensive.
All the staff was so nice and the kids loved it. We spent about four hours there. I would have given four stars but the fish tour, the animal encounter, and the offer for a special tour by Mr. Carl brings it up to a five stars. Definitely do the extra stuff to bring your visit up a notch. Kid's favorites were the fish, the moving fake animals and the play zone. My favorite part was the stellar art section, and the fact that as we went through the exhibits we could see them from several angles. Cannot believe the one star review complained about the gift shop, it was small but nice, staff was nice, and who goes to a museum to shop anyway, not I. A beautiful place inside and out, and we will visit again.
